Biographical Sketch
avindran's
research interests focus on the general area of
computational science and computational
mathematics that deal with mathematical
modeling, analysis and numerical simulation
with a particular
emphasis on design and analysis of fast and robust numerical algorithms. He is interested
in
interdisciplinary research and his interests
intersect with several application areas,
including reduced-order modeling, control and optimization of large fully
coupled systems with multi physics modeled by
nonlinear distributed dynamical systems. Specific applications include
numerical simulations and control of unsteady complex fluid flows.
As principal investigator of various research grants, he has conducted research
for agencies such as the National Science Foundation, NASA Langley Research Center
and NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. His publications include over 40 refereed journal
and conference publications.
